Niranjan is interested in how the brain perceives, understands and learns from the visual world. In his research, he hopes to apply this by designing more capable neural networks. Currently in the lab, he works on understanding the similarities and differences between the neural representations of biological and artificial neural networks. He is currently a first year graduate student in the Cognitive Science department at UC San Diego. In his free time, he loves watching sitcoms and reading novels.
