Bo is an undergraduate student at UCSD, majoring in Computer Science, Cognitive Science, and Mathematics. In the NeuroML lab, she focuses on two research areas: first, inspecting the properties of representation metrics and how downstream behavior measures can inform the selection of these metrics; second, probing the “when” and “why” questions surrounding the emergence of alignment between biological and artificial vision systems during the course of behavioral optimization. Looking ahead, Bo is eager to explore the mechanisms that enable the emergence of higher visual cognition and the capacity for high-level concept learning, abstraction, and generalization.
